About:

Gavin lives in western Sydney with his large LEGO collection, his somewhat LEGO tolerant wife, two LEGO enthusiasts in training (kids) and his dog, (who has been known to eat LEGO).

LEGO was a huge part of Gavin’s childhood and his original collection was mostly classic space. In a move she now claims to regret, Gavin’s then girlfriend, now wife, gave him a Star Wars LEGO set as a Christmas present in his uni days. This sparked a renewal of his passion for LEGO and the building up of a collection of Star Wars sets, followed by castle themed sets, including the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit sets.

Not content to just build sets and eager to prove he could do more with his LEGO than just follow the instructions, Gavin began to build his own creations (MOCs) in 2014.

Joined after 30 years in the dark. I think the spark was initially buying duplo for my daughter when she was a toddler and then buying a small Friends set when she got older. It wasn’t long before I was climbing through boxes at my parents house in North Queensland (with a desperate look on my face which my family could not understand). Started collecting, then created small MOCS which are progressively growing….. but am currently using quantity to compensate for quality until I gain more experience.

About:

Loved lego as a kid, went dark and got drawn back in when I saw the winter village cottage.
I love the winter theme, and have since collected the recent article series and have started to diverge into other themes.
I love Christmas and have modified my winter village to work with third party lights. lights just add that extra bit for me.

About:

Was obsessed with Lego as a child and used to take daily challenges from my Dad before he went to work to build something crazy I would show him when he got home. I won a Space Lego building contest at 11 and kept building deep into my teens.

Jumped back into Lego when the Star Wars sets were released, buying the entire range on the first day. Ever since I have continually expanding into more sets and product lines 🙂

Started building MOC’s after visiting SBS 2012, inspired into action and now spend way too much time building and planning new designs. I love building unique models, highly detailed scenes in Minifig Scale.

About:

I’ve been actively collecting bricks since childhood, and like many AFOLs, I always seem to have more building ideas than bricks or space to build them. I enjoy displaying my creations at public exhibitions, and the opportunity to contribute to larger SydLUG group displays.

About:

After a long career of LEGO I retired undefeated, gave my LEGO to my nephew and joined the navy. I then realised I made a mistake (maybe two) and I traded my LEGO back for a PS1. I then spent a few years making lame excuses to build (stationary, stands, breast pumps) and buying cheap LEGO from time to time. However over time the drips became a torrent and *sploosh* now my house is overflowing with the stuff. I’m a huge Sci-Fi fan and that influences what I MOC and long term I’m hoping to make enough varied ships, mechs and sets to make a photo-comic series.
