In the lead up to Mother’s Day members of SydLUG participated in a special family night at Kingsgrove Bunnings. On Thursday, May 10 the store offered families a fun night out in honour of mums, with a myriad of activities to keep the kids entertained including a Disney jumping castle, petting zoo, face painting (with henna for the mums!) and a range of ‘minute-to-win-it’ games.
Creations made from LEGO and displayed by SydLUG members were a popular addition to the evening, and included an American style farm scene and detailed colourful towers. For the sports fan mums there was a hurdling track and minifig habitats themed around the Commonwealth Games.
The evening had a celebratory atmosphere, enhanced by the musical efforts of the Riverwood Hornets Marching Band.
SydLUG will return to Kingsgrove Bunnings for the store’s Spring Launch event on Saturday, September 8.
